About me

I'm Cooper Brosgall, an Engineering Physics student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

I enjoy working across hardware and software: designing a board, bringing it up on the bench, and writing the firmware that makes it useful. Most of my projects involve electronics, robot control, or both.

Competitive robotics has been a big part of that. As Electrical Lead for TNTN Robotics, I contributed to our 2025 VEX U World Championship season. More recently, I developed the embedded software and controls for our competition-winning ENPH 253 robot.

What I work with

Electronics

PCB design, sensor interfaces, power electronics, board bring-up, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Embedded software

C++, FreeRTOS, STM32, ESP32, nRF52840, I2C, SPI, UART and RS-485.

Controls

PID control, inverse kinematics, optical odometry and Kalman-filter sensor fusion.
